Nishant Nengmang

Nishant Subba (born December 25, 2001), also known by the stage names Nishant Nengmang and Tashi Furato, is an Indian-Japanese musical artist and aviation professional. He is recognized for his career with major international airlines and his work in the contemporary music scene, specifically within the Nepali-pop and acoustic genres.

Early life and education

Nengmang was born in Darjeeling, India, to Horishio and Nima Furato. He is of Japanese descent and holds Indian nationality. He attended Don Bosco School and later graduated from St. Joseph College in Jakhama, Nagaland.

Nengmang has a professional background in the international aviation industry, having been employed by several major carriers:

Cathay Pacific (2021–2023): Based in Hong Kong as a member of the cabin crew.

Emirates (2023–2025): Based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Qatar Airways (2025–Present): Currently serving as a Flight Attendant based in Doha, Qatar.

Musical career

Nengmang's musical style is influenced by Himalayan acoustic traditions and modern pop. He began his career releasing digital covers of Nepali songs before transitioning to original compositions.
